Beaumont, Texas…..Southeast Texas based Coastal Welding Supply, Inc. received the inaugural Distributor Safety Award presented by the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) and the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) during their 68th Annual Convention in Colorado Springs, CO.
Coastal will also be recognized at the CGA 2013 Annual meeting. Sponsored by CGA and GAWDA, this annual awards program was initiated to honor member companies that have shown the greatest improvement in safety performance during the previous two years and is based upon total recordable case incident rates as defined by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
More than 50 GAWDA Distributor and Canadian Distributor Companies provided their safety data to qualify for the award. Coastal was declared the winner of this first time, prestigious award for more than 100,000 employee exposure hours.
Coastal Welding Supply President, J.C.“Chuck” Mazoch attributed the award presentation to the total commitment demonstrated daily by his employee team.
